Andrew Schlinder has been a professional saxophonist in Chicago for over 10 years. His love of saxophone started at the early age of 8. Since then, he’s dedicated his life to the study and performance of the saxophone. In 2009, he was awarded the opportunity to work at PM Woodwind in Evanston. It was there he furthered his knowledge of the saxophone by delving into the world of saxophone repair. It was here he began to take saxophones apart and learn the inner workings of what makes an exceptional repair-person, His apprenticeship at PM Woodwind lasted until 2013. Since then, Andrew has been finding any project horn or friend who needs a repair. The art of saxophone repair is a lifelong endeavor much like performing music. Andrew continues to strive to improve his skills to provide the highest-quality repair possible.
